Call for applications: Scolarships for Syrian students

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has launched a call for applications to a scholarship program for Syrian students living in exile in France and enrolled in a French higher education institution.
 
The scholarships are awarded for a period from 12 to a maximum of 24 months to students with Syrian nationality, born after 09/01/92 in priority and attending a master’s level training in a French higher education institution, in one of the following areas:
  • Engineering sciences and natural sciences: agronomy, life sciences, mathematics, physics, and chemistry, etc.
  • Economics and management;
  • Political sciences and law;
  • Architecture and urban planning ;
  • Arts.
The awarded students will receive a monthly allowance of €700, social care, assistance for finding student housing (CROUS), educational support, and will be exempted from the payment of tuition fees and Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC).
The French host institution will receive as well a grant of €1,000 per year and per student to implement tutoring and therefore to further the students success.
 
The application file (application form, supporting documents of academic curriculum, application letter, copy of the passport, copy of the residence permit and bank details) must be sent to: candidaturesyrie@campusfrance.org, no later than Friday, June 26, 2020.
