Launch of the 2016 European Inventor Award

Launched by the Europen Patent Office (EPO) in 2006, the European Inventor Award pays tribute to the creativity of inventors from all over the world, who use their technical, scientific and intellectual skills to make a real contribution to technological progress and economic growth and so improve people's daily lives.
This Award recognizes outstanding inventors from around the world, from all technical fields and backgrounds. You don't have to be an inventor yourself to put forward a nominee. People from industry, research institutes, IP associations and universities, as well as the general public, are all welcome to make a suggestion. In 2015, two of the 15 inventors award were women.

The Conference of Deans of French Schools of Engineering (CDEFI) is a non-profit association of Deans of French state and private Schools of Engineering and universities of technology authorised by the CTI (a French accreditation agency) to deliver the French Engineering degree.
Created in 1976 by a decree issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, CDEFI is the local, national and international political and public voice of French Schools of Engineering and universities of technology.
