20 chemistry engineering schools plan to open a chemistry school in Beijing

26/04/2016
On March 2016, the 20 chemistry schools of the French "Fédération Gay-Lussac", a federation of 20 French chemistry and chemical engineering schools, announced the opening, in September 2017, of Chimie Pékin, a chemistry and chemical engineering school, which will offer a French 6-year curriculum.

The opening of this new school will be done in partnership with the Beijing university of chemical technology. It is the second engineering program in chemistry and chemical engineering created by the Fédération, who created a similar curriculum in Shanghai six years ago. This training program, in French, will enable its students to obtain a bachelor degree in four years and a master-level engineering degree in six years

At its cruising speed, Chimie Pékin will welcome 150 students distributed in three fields: bio-engineering, materials sciences and chemical engineering. Through this initiative, the Gay-Lussac Federation wishes to meet the needs of many French industrial companies operating in China, that expressed an increasing need of executives and engineers à la française
