Call for applications - Fulbright-Tocqueville Distinguished Chair Award 2020-2021

The purpose of the Fulbright-Tocqueville Distinguished Chair Award, created in 2005 by the Franco-American Fulbright Commission, in partnership with the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the US Department of State, is to reinforce collaborative research between the United States and France, and to contribute to a better understanding and exchange of information about the disciplines essential to French and American society and to the mutual understanding of both peoples.

Grantees are invited as guest teachers and researchers at a host French university, for one semester (from 4 to 6 months).  They will teach courses at the postgraduate and doctoral levels, undertake research, and participate in conferences and seminars related to their area of expertise.

The American applicants and the French host institutions must submit a single application. The French host institutions must fill out the Distinguished Chair host form, which applicants must then upload to their online application thought this platform.  

The applications must be submitted by 16 September 2019.
