The 2015 Annual Conference of the Global Engineering Deans Council will be held in Adelaide, Australia, from November 30th to December 2nd. Founded in 2008 in Paris, GEDC aims at
discussing the role that engineering can play in meeting future societal challenges, including food, healthcare, energy, environment, quality of life, etc.
The group brings together science, industry and higher education to provide a worldwide forum for information exchanges, discussion of experiences, challenges and best practices in leading an engineering school. It also aims at enabling engineering deans to partner with one another in curriculum development, innovation and to collaborate with industry, government, and other stakeholders. Furthermore, GEDC strives to build a network that would enable engineering deans to play a leading role in developing regional and national policies, as well as maintain a global system of quality standards for engineering education.
